The Scientific Committee of the 13th European Paediatric Neurology Congress welcomes the submission of abstracts for oral communication or poster presentation.

Deadline for abstract submission: March 1, 2019

Abstract submission guidelines

• Abstracts can only be submitted electronically through the EPNS 2019 Congress website and online platform.
• Acknowledgement of receipt of your submission will be sent to your stated email address.
• Abstracts must be written in English.
• Maximum 2,000 characters (approx. 270 words), including spaces, but excluding title and contact information of the authors.
• Each abstract should consist of the following sections: Objective (or Aim or Introduction), Methods, Results, Conclusion
• It is the author's responsibility to submit a fully finalised abstract. Any errors in spelling, grammar or scientific facts will be reproduced as typed by the author.
• You are allowed to be the presenting author of more than one abstract; three (3) is the maximum number of abstracts that can be presented by the same author.
• During submission, you will be asked to choose your 1st preference of thematic for presentation from a drop-down list. You are allowed to check two (2) more thematic options in the checklist that follows. The Scientific Committee reserves to right to allocate your abstract in a different thematic, according to Programme needs.
• You are allowed to be a co-author of an unlimited number of abstracts.
• Submission of closely related abstracts from the same group is discouraged.
• Abstracts will only be considered for presentation if they are not published or submitted for presentation elsewhere.
• Abstract presenters must be registered for EPNS 2019 Congress and have paid the registration fee for attendance of the scientific sessions.

Notification of Acceptance

Notification of acceptance or rejection of the abstract will be sent to the corresponding author of the abstract by April 1, 2019.

Accepted abstracts will be considered for oral communication or poster presentation.

The corresponding author receives all information concerning the abstract and is responsible for informing all other co-authors of the status of the abstract.

All abstract presenters will be asked to reconfirm their attendance after receiving the notification.

Abstract Submission Terms and Conditions

1. By submitting an abstract, submitters understand that their abstract, including names, is stored electronically and will be published by the Organising Committee on the EPNS website and/or Abstract Book.

2. No trade names of products are allowed in oral communications or poster presentations. Non-proprietary (generic, chemical) names of drugs should be used. Company names can be used in the authors affiliation and as a source to a material mentioned in the body of the abstract.

3. Abstracts will be assessed by an expert panel of reviewers. Acceptance of the submitted work is at the discretion of the Scientific Committee.

4. The corresponding author receives all correspondence concerning the abstract, and is responsible for informing all co-authors of the status of the abstract.
The presenting author of an abstract must register for the Congress by the given deadline. The Organising Committee reserves the right to exclude from the Programme and/or Abstract Book abstracts for which registration is not duly completed within the deadline advised.

5. Duplication of publication: EPNS does not accept re-submission; abstracts must correspond to original, previously unpublished work. By submitting an abstract the submitter confirms that he/she has not presented/plans to present and publish the abstract at another meeting, and that he/she has not submitted/published the full paper.

6. Declaration of Conflict of Interest: EPNS is committed to ensuring the integrity of its scientific, educational, and research programmes. Abstract submission requires disclosure of any financial or other interest that might be construed as resulting in an actual, potential, or apparent conflict. The submitter is responsible for obtaining disclosure information from all co-authors, as well as for stating any potential conflict of interest during abstract submission.
